Global Concerns Classroom (GCC) is the US-based global education program of Concern Worldwide, an international humanitarian organization working in 28 of the poorest countries to alleviate poverty and suffering through emergency response and development. Launched in 2001, GCC is an innovative and dynamic program that seeks to raise awareness of current international humanitarian issues in US youth and to empower them to take informed action. Through dynamic resources, student engagement programs, and professional development for educators, GCC prepares youth to gain the knowledge and skills needed to be globally competent for the 21st century. GCC aims to inspire youth to become active global citizens and leaders for a better future.
